Cheap material cracks after a few years.

To be fair, this lasted about 4 years with somewhat regular use. I like the ratchet mechanism. However, recently the "leather" material has become all cracked. If it is made of leather, then it's very cheap and thin leather. It seems more like a ...More
To be fair, this lasted about 4 years with somewhat regular use. I like the ratchet mechanism. However, recently the "leather" material has become all cracked. If it is made of leather, then it's very cheap and thin leather. It seems more like a plastic or rubber material though. 4 years isn't a terrible lifetime for some products, but any real leather goods that I have last much much longer than that.

I was skeptical at first, but I love trying new stuff, gadgets, food, drinks etc. I am really impressed and happy with it. The quality is very good. The buckle is nice and well made. The leather is a nice quality. It fits really nicely due to the ratcheting micro adjustments. It's a little stiff out of the box, but that's to be expected. It just needs worn and broken in. I put a little leather conditioner on it and it's coming along.

My box was missing the little hanger hook lol, but that's fine. I don't need one, as I don't hang up belts, I usually put my belts in a dresser drawer. All in all, I really don't have any complaints about this belt that would stop me from getting another one, or recommending it. Great belt, affordable, both good for professional and casual dressing, though the black does tilt towards the dressy more. If you have the money to spare, I say pick one up today.

This belt is only for those who want the convenience of a sliding mechanism.
I have bought a few with the same mechanism and they last a few years so no worries there

Lovely, but, make sure it is the correct size

Lovely dark burgundy belt (probably a bit darker than it looks in the photo) with an ingenious buckle design. We'll see how it stands up to the test of time...Note: I ordered the custom size so it could be trimmed just in case the XL was a bit tight....More

Note: I ordered the custom size so it could be trimmed just in case the XL was a bit tight. Custom size according to the box but an XL belt inside it! Not going to give myself the hassle of exchanging as the belt actually fits fine, but, a bit of an error by the manufacturer there (hence 4 stars).
