The front foot of the shoe has an anti-collision sticker design that shields the forefoot and prevents the toe from being harmed in the event of an impact.

The size does run a tad small - fine with thin socks, but too tight when I were athletic cotton socks. I'd go up 1/2 size if you like thick socks.

Note that they are very breathable and not at all waterproof!

I really liked the look of these shoes but the first time ...

I really liked the look of these shoes but the first time I wore them I got a heel blister on both feet and the tongue on the left foot hurt the top of my foot. Way to expensive to wait and break them in.

These shoes are so comfortable. Simple yet elegant. I know the price is scary, but I believe I am going to end up wearing these shoes more than any of my other shoes. Will post an update after a month or so to see how these are holding up.

These shoes are lightweight, well constructed, and should be comfortable and cool to wear. I returned them because the laces are small diameter shock-cord and not adjustable. I would have to carry a shoe horn to get them on and that would be sort of inconvenient. I have arthritic hands which makes putting on shoes difficult, otherwise these shoes would serve well. I ordered size 10 and the shoes were a comfortable 10.
