Breathable Leather Shoes

This is a nice light weight shoe. I worn Rockport World Tour Classic shoes for several years and thought I could save a little money. Nope. I guess the World Tours spoiled me because this shoe is not as secure or as stable. Durability remains to be seen, but I have some doubts. If you like the world Tours you probably should stay with them, because this shoe is not in the same league.

Moved to this house two years ago. Never lived on a slab foundation that wasn't carpeted. So after about 18 months my feet, legs, knees, and back had really gotten to a painful state. At home, I was wearing house shoes....have a soft sole, and a hard sole pair. After research, I found these particular shoes highly recommended for comfort. My shoe of choice over the past ten or more years has been New Balance athletics....but I wanted some that I could slip in and out of. Using the size that fits me with New Balance, I ordered a pair of these loafers.
After wearing these around the house, (as well as to the stores), for about ten days now, I can really tell the difference.
They seem to be well made just like all the Rockport shoes I've owned in the past.
I'm not a "5-star" person, but these are worth wearing.

I'm on my second pair of these. They are excellent for travel given they function like a sneaker but pass as business casual and can worn with a suit in a pinch. I use them to work out, go to the pool to swim laps, get through security at the airport, and workout. Years of traveling for business have thought me to pack light and one secret is to bring just one set of shoes. Shoes take up room and are heavy and its not necessary to bring more than one pair if you know about these!

1/19/18 - on my third pair. I use these for everything, still. Yes, I look a bit silly at the pool lap swimming or the gym but they honestly get the job done so well I don't mind. I use my old ones as gym shoes and to get to the lap pool as they are very easy to take on and off and are very comfortable without socks. My nephew, 16, had these at thanksgiving and we both were in agreement that they are the best thing since swiss bread. He is 30 years younger than me and apparently extremely savvy.

I bought this as my primary travel shoe for work. I wear these with dress pants and jeans to save packing, and these shoes have seen the world with me. From France to Japan, China, Spain, etc. I try to get out and walk a lot to see what I can when I go somewhere, so these shoes have a ton of miles on them and really hold up. I bought these over a year ago, and they are still in great shape. When they give up the ghost, I intend to go back and buy two pairs, one Black and one Brown, and that's all I need.

Fit and comfort are great. I thought the cushioning would be a bit more cloud like but it is fine. I bought these to replace my Born because their soles are not solid and I keep wearing holes in them. These are just a tad more dressy which I like. I am happy.

The shoes were discounted, I paid fifty dollars. The shoes are lite weight, comfortable, leather shoes. I use them for casual wear. I couldn't recommend them for prolong standing (especially on concrete) or walking. The shoes don't provide the type of support needed for such a work environment.

Don't give up on these if they don't come out of the box ready to go. They do need to be worn to break them in, maybe after 4-5 wearings they should be broken in fairly well. The one issue that some may have is the sole. It is not a hard sole like you would typically find on a dress shoe, but a soft flexible one. That is what makes them so light.

These shoes are amazingly light weight and comfortable, with the soft soles of good slippers. I wear them at my largely sedentary job, where the comfort is welcome. However they aren't suitable for walking outdoors, as the thin soft leather gives little support and the soles are too soft. In parking lots I can feel the grain of the asphalt as if wearing nothing but thick socks. They aren't adequate for a trip to the mall as the lightweight construction lacks any support or protection, but good for situations when shoes are necessary but walking is limited.

Very comfortable and easy to put on and take off. They absorb the shock of walking very well as I have siatic nerve problems. I have put about 600 miles on them on pavement, concrete and tile and they have held up very well on the soles as well as the upper leather. I am on my second set of shoe strings and would guess the shoes will last about another 600 miles if not more before another pair are warranted.
