There are so many lies about grooming habits out there. You people are fed either online or have been brought up with family.
Are you guys tired of grooming hacks that are complete lies?
Damn sure, we think you all are tired!
Well, you know that it doesn’t work well, but there are some people that they believe in these hacks.
We have tried doing all these hacks and realized that this isn’t going to work, and we don’t want you to become the next guy to be a fool.
Let’s jump into it.
1) Using Toothpaste for Hair Removal
This is one of the famous hacks you will see all over YouTube channels. These tricks are mostly for DIY purposes.
Do you think toothpaste really removes your hair?
Well, not really. We have tried this, and it didn’t work. There’s no proof that it is an effective and safe method for hair removal. It is made only for your teeth, not for hair removal.
Toothpaste likely causes skin irritation, redness, and peeling because it contains alcohol and hydrogen peroxide that dries out your skin.
Toothpaste is not the solution to all our problems. Stop believing everything that you see on the internet. Remember, the toothpaste idea is a complete flop. Never apply it to your skin.
2) Applying Lots of Shaving Cream
We all know, shaving cream helps create a thin layer of protection between the blade and your skin. It minimizes the risk of cuts, irritation, rashes, and tiny bumps.
It helps keep moisture in the beard hairs during the shave, leaving them softer and more comfortable to cut.
Yeah, shaving cream is essential, but lots of people believe the myths; the more shaving cream, the better it works.
It is false. While it doesn’t affect, but once you slather a thin layer of product into your skin and put it on for one or two minutes, then it is done.
So guys, don’t believe these hacks!
3) Ear Swabs Clear Wax
You read it right. Believe us, those swabs won’t help you in getting out that ear wax. Yes, it will remove some of the ear’s impurities, but it causes more harm than help.
They’re not only dangerous but also make it much harder to bring the wax out. Healthline’s recent survey concluded that 73% of the injuries related to the ear are due to cleaning through with cotton swabs.
There are lots of alternatives to clear wax from the ear.
One simple Google search, and you will find lots of them.
4) Dry Shampoo
Gentlemen, avoid using the habit of dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is supposed to be applied to long hair rather than short hairs because sometimes people don’t have time to wash their hairs.
In those cases, dry shampoo helps to get through one more day.
It is supposed to absorb the oils and lefts grime on your scalp. It doesn’t clean like your regular wet shampoo.
We suggest you only stick with wet shampoo to get quality hair.
5) Over Scrubbing To Prevent Acne
Another bad lie about the grooming hack is over-scrubbing. Over-scrubbing can lead to irritating your skin, and your acne may flare too. Exfoliating your skin twice a week is okay.
Regular exfoliating your skin may harm your skin. Scrubbing might help improve minor bumps and breakouts, but they will not be useful if the acne is too worst.
So while scrubbing, be gentle with your skin, most notably for those who have acne problems.
6) Using Toothpaste For Pimples and Zits
This is the hack that we believed when we were a teen, but after quite a deep research, we realized that it is not safe for your skin.
Toothpaste dries out your skin, as we have already discussed above.
Remember that toothpaste is only made for your teeth and not your skin. The ingredients found in toothpaste make your skin dry and lead to skin breakouts.
7) Expensive Products
When it comes to a skincare routine, most people think that expensive products can be useful.
It’s not necessary to use high-end products. People believe that expensive products contain more high-quality active ingredients, which is not true.
There are some affordable products available in the market that makes your skin better.
Investing in your skin is not a waste of money. Still, you need to instead research before buying any products which are a little more expensive.
8) Only Sticking To Men’s Products
Yes! We said it.
We know men and women are different, and their skins too. Men’s skin is a little rougher than women’s skin.
Sometimes the female skincare products can be useful for you.
In those instances, the only difference might be the fragrance of the product and packaging. It can be more masculine for males or more feminine for females.
9) Applying More Fragrance
The goal of using a fragrance is to smell so good and refreshed all day long. Some perfumes stay for a more extended time, and some don’t.
It doesn’t mean that you need to spray it too much. A man’s fragrance should be a subtle enhancement according to his image.
Less is more when it comes to cologne.
Don’t spray the perfume all over the outfit. Practice the right way to apply it, and your fragrance will stay for a more extended period of time.
